Creature Cottages: Package Design
A package design and point of purchase for an imagined new line of toys under the Melissa & Doug brand, each including a plush animal, a mini educational activity book, and some wooden “food” for the animal. The exterior box is designed as a house based on each animal’s habitat, with a specific color theme (red, green, or blue). The point of purchase received a Silver AAF award in the regional student division.
Jack Stauber's Micropop: Music Packaging
A product and package design that is a solution to the decline of CDs: three lyric/art books in a slipcase, each with a digital download code for the music. The project is based on the work of Jack Stauber, a contemporary artist and musician who takes inspiration from 80s/90s mediums and aesthetics, like VHS tapes—hence the VHS tape-shaped box.
Uppercrust: Bakery Rebrand
A rebrand of a bakery/café local to Gainesville, Florida. The rebrand includes fresh logos, colors, and fonts, as well as designs for the interior of the shop, the menu, packaging, and apparel. The new brand unites the (currently clashing) minimalist and vintage french aesthetics for a unique and timeless look that matches their artisan pastries.
Revive: Type Specimen Book
Adrian Frutiger’s typeface Centennial is commonly used as a typeface for print, such as in magazines and catalogs, so the design of this specimen book focuses on the furniture and overall aesthetic of the mid-century modern movement. Like the typeface, it is organic yet simple and clean. The design received a Gold AAF Award in the regional student division.
April Greiman Article
A layout for a theoretical issue of Wired magazine featuring the work of April Greiman. Includes a cover and two spreads, with an original feature article written from a personal viewpoint. The design received a Silver AAF Award in the student division.
Vista: AR App
An iPad Pro app design for artists, including organizational tools for projects, as well as an augmented reality projector. This tool casts the design onto the wall, making the mural painting process much faster and easier than with current methods.
Faeries Interactive Map
An infographic that educates the user about fae legends, including where they can be found, what they like, and how safe (or not) they are to interact with. The design was also expanded to an interactive version that could, for example, be part of an interactive museum exhibit.
Slum Sociable: Music Branding
A logo design and three album cover designs (front and back) for the alternative/indie duo Slum Sociable. Each cover design is based on a specific song, taking inspiration from the sound and lyrics to represent the band and their music.
