Women I Know

The following is a series of pieces created for an AP Drawing concentration and later titled “Women I Know.” It focuses on the relationship between women and vulnerability, and how art can represent and express it. Two elements kept the same throughout the series are the size of each piece (8×10″), and that every portrait was based on a different model, each of which I personally know. These common aspects represent how even though the details in every woman’s story differ, we all still carry the same core narrative, and that fact bonds us together as sisters.
